Great news!!! The Peninsula School is the recipient of several grants. The Schoodic Community Fund awarded $750 to our Principal's Discretionary Fund. This money allows us to provide some of the essential items needed for students to function on a daily basis. In the past, we have been fortunate enough to provide coats, boots, clothing, and food to students in need. In addition, our PTC was awarded $1500 to support our schools effort to build 3 raised beds as part of our work to create a school garden program. In addition, in collaboration with local farmers, the school was awarded a grant of $1500 by Healthy Acadia to continue to educate our students on the traditional farming practices that are used in our community. A huge thank you to the Schoodic Community Fund, the Peninsula PTC, Healthy Acadia, and the local farmers for the support of our school.
