From the Principal - October 18th

Greetings,

I hope that you and your family enjoyed the long Columbus Day Weekend together.  With the sunny days and cooler nights, it is a great time of the year.

We are in the final days of our NECAP testing for students in grades 3 to 8.  Teachers report that our students are working hard and trying to do their best.  Taking 6 different tests, 3 in math and 3 in reading (and two writing tests for grades 5 and 8) is a big challenge.  There is a huge adjustment that comes with administering the test, both as a school and in the classroom.  A huge thank you to the students, parents and our teachers for doing their part in making the test administration possible.  The test results will not be available for several months.  We will certainly pass the results along when available.

We are seeking a Drama Club Advisor for the school year.  This position provides co-curricular theater arts coaching to students in Grades 3 -8 and may include one or more stage productions throughout the school year.  If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected].

In addition, we are also taking applications for our winter sports teams.  We offer cheering, girls' basketball and boys' basketball.  If you are interested, please contact Janet Jordan from RSU #24 Human Resources(667-8136) for an application.

That is all for now.  Thanks for the opportunity to work with your child(ren).  I very much appreciate the opportunity to be the principal of this wonderful school.  If ever any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at [email protected] or 963-2003.

 Have a great weekend!
